Sterling Silver Care

When NOT to Wear Your Sterling Silver Earrings
You'll probably love your sterling silver earrings so much that you'll want to wear
them all the time. However, remove them and store them carefully when taking part in the following activities and they'll stay tarnish free for longer:
  • Exercising
  • Doing the dishes
  • Sauna
  • Sunbathing
  • Applying lotions or hair products
  • Applying perfume
Remember the two main enemies of sterling silver - light and moisture - and
they'll reward you with an enduring shine.
How to Clean Sterling Silver Earrings

However carefully you've worked to keep your sterling silver earrings looking their
best, from time to time, every piece needs a pick me up to put the sparkle back
into it. We have found the best way is using baking soda and aluminum foil.

The best thing about this process is that it has the feel of a high-school science experiment about it - plus it does the job in next to no time.

Boil some water, while you are waiting, line a small bowl with tin foil. Pour the boiling water into the bowl, sprinkle about 2 tablespoons of baking soda into the water. To protect the wood, sand or stone we recommend just dipping the silver into the concoction. Wiggle it around for 10 seconds and voila...sparkling clean!!!
Take it out and give a little buff with a clean cloth.
